Hallo Miteinander,

ich habe folgendes Problem ich versuche mit Knoppix 5.3 (DVD) ein Raid5 (mit 3 Serial-Ata Platten) zu installieren.

und habe mit dem "mdadm" Befehl versucht das Raid Array zu erstellen, wenn ich es mache scheint es auch zu funktionieren allerdings gibt mir der

Installer (knoppix-installer) folgende Fehlermeldungen: und natürlich bootet er dann nicht...

Ich habe mich im wesentlichen an diese Anleitung gehalten:

You shouldn't call /sbin/grub-install. Please call /usr/sbin/grub-install instead!

Jetzt weiß ich natürlich nicht was ich genau falsch mache, ich habe es mit dem eingebauten Raid des Mainboards und auch ohne versucht.
Auch eine Startdiskette hilft nichts...

Nach der Installation sagt der Installer es sei alles auf der Festplatte, booten geht aber nicht...

ok ich habe das Filesystem jetzt anders erstellt.

ich bin jetzt auch in der Lage das /dev/md0 , also das Raid Array zu mounten... es ist in der mtab...

Wie kann ich verhindern, daß der "knoppix-installer" das ganze bei der Installation formatiert?

Kann man Knoppix auch anders als mit dem "knoppix-installer" installieren?

Und wie kann ich den grub installieren, so daß er am Anfang gesehen wird?
Was meint ihr? in den MBR oder in die Root-Partition?
