Knoppix 6.5 Synaptic Package Mgr. Won't Upgrade

Hi,

I recently installed Knoppix 6.5 to my external hard drive and all went smoothly. When I check for upgrades in Synaptic Pkg. Mgr. I get the following errors;

Zitat

Failed to fetch http://volatile.debian.org/debian-volati…386/Packages.gz 404 Not Found [IP: 86.59.118.153 80]

Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
I went into Settings>Repositories and selected Main Server and Debian Repositories but was unable to resolve the problems. I am running a Dell Inspiron 530S Desktop with Win 7 and multiple Linux Distros. installed. Upgrades are available but won't install because message states "fix broken packages". Any help will be appreciated.

I don't think that it is a good idea to do this with Knoppix.
Knoppix is a Distibution to run from Live-CD or USB-key NOT to be installed on HD. (although there is a installer, most users will run in trouble)
KANOTIX e.g. is a former Knoppix Fork to be run in Live-Mod or to be installed on HD as well. (.. and is not *ubuntu)
You can use synaptic to install additional Debian packages or remove them. On kanotix.com you can find the English forums under the German one.
